O’HAGAN, Mary – Peacefully in the loving arms of her family on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. Mary Margaret O’Hagan (nee Robinson) of London in her 74th year. Beloved wife of J. Michael O’Hagan for 51 years. Mary will be forever missed by her devoted children Jeff (Tara) and Kelly. Treasured Mimi of Claire and Craig O’Hagan. Predeceased by precious sons Michael (1969) and Craig (2003). Survived by loving siblings Bill (Joyce), Jean (the late Ken Duggan), Elizabeth (Grant Copper), Nancy (Perry Smith), Jamie (Robyn) and Peter (Debbie). For twenty years, Mary was a dedicated member of the support staff of the Children’s Dental Clinic at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University where she made many friends with staff and dental students and helped thousands of families. Mary wore many hats as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, Mimi, true friend & conversationalist, voracious reader, master of the kitchen, and lover of life. Mary will forever be remembered for her infectious smile, her genuine interest in the lives of others and her generous and loving spirit. Mary led a life of curiosity, gratitude, and giving. “When we give cheerfully, and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed” – Maya Angelou. Her family is grateful for the wonderful care and support provided by Dr. A. Sugimoto and his team at the London Regional Cancer Program at LHSC, Dr. S. Wegener and his staff, the nurses and staff of St. Elizabeth Health, especially Joy, VON, and the doctors, nurses and staff from the Palliative Care Unit at the Parkwood Institute. Funeral service to be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica, London, with a reception to follow at Sunningdale Golf & Country Club at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged in support of the Translational Ovarian Cancer Research Group at LHSC through the London Run For Ovarian Cancer at secure.lhsf.ca/fundraiser/1850238
