Mary’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary K. (Polly) Payne announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in her 82nd year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Karen Hussey (Terry), Vicky Holwell (Wayne) and Penny Parsons (Rick). Grandchildren: Alicia Harrietha (Chris), Dusty Hussey (Tamara), Nicole Payne and Stacy Payne, Stephanie Smardenka (Chris) and Kelly Holwell. Great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Liam, Jace and Vincent; and her furry pet friend Bailie. Sisters in law: Pearl Park, Bessie Park, Ruby Stone. Brother in law: Foster Payne (Annie), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband: Ronald (Bert) in 2017 and son: Rick in 2011; parents: Simon and Amy Park; grandson: Rusty Lovell; Son in law: Douglas Hussey and Daughter in law: Carmel Payne; Sister: Alfreda and Brothers: Irvine (Sr), Stanley and Howard; Parents in law Albert and Winnifred Payne; Brothers and Sisters In Law: Pearl, Mina (Gord), Harold, Reg (Jessie) and John Stone. A visitation for family and friends will take place at the St. Nicholas Church, Cox’s Cove, on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from the hours 2-4 and 7-9pm. A funeral service will take place on Friday August 2, 2019 at 2pm with Rev. Malcolm Palmer officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Church Cemetery Cox’s Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of NL.
