Obituary of Marlene Marie Phinney
It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of Marlene Marie (Estabrooks) Phinney on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Marlene was 71 years of age.
Born in Midgic, NB on March 9, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Irene Marjorie (Hicks) and Colburn Elmer Estabrooks.
Marlene enjoyed spending time at home and with her family. She loved animals, especially her cats.
Marlene will be lovingly remembered by her son, Ian Phinney (Krista Hicks); her daughter, Alison Ann Phinney; her sister, Carolyn Smith; her brother, Fred (Joann) Estabrooks; her two grandchildren, Taylor Phinney and Brayden Phinney, as well as by her nieces and nephews, Kate Estabrooks, Emily Estabrooks, Brent (Jennifer) Smith and Byron (Amy) Smith.
Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her brother-in-law, Hudson Smith.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Marlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. A graveside service at the Midgic Cemetery will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marlene may be made to CARMA Sackville Chapter, New Brunswick Breast Cancer Network Inc. or to the charity of one’s choice.
