On July 24, 2019, our beloved Marlene Reimer of Edmonton, Alberta passed away peacefully at the age of 71 with her immediate family at her side. She was a wonderful, generous, compassionate, faithful and fun-loving woman who loved her family and friends dearly and would do anything for them. She loved to help others, putting other’s needs before her own and went out of her way to be friendly and encouraging. If she could help make someone’s life better she would do it. Above all, she loved her Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her faith kept her strong through many hardships and through a tough battle with diabetes and Alzheimer’s. We are grateful for the time we were able to spend with her and will cherish her forever.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 40 years, David, who cared for her with great dedication and stuck by her side through to the end, and by her daughter Tracy Reimer and her daughter Rachel (Joel) Delaney, and her son Harold Reimer and his wife Debbie and their children Braeden and Amara. She is also survived by her stepson Bronwyn Reimer and his wife Sharman and their children Courtney (CJ) Grove, Jorgen and Zachary, and stepdaughter Cami (Andy) Reeves and their children Kaley (Jason) Miller and their 5 children, Maddy, Toye, Jason and Noah.
Also surviving her are her 8 sisters Joyce (Tony) Mandamin, Bernadette Cardinal, Susan (Peter Chong) Blackman, Roslyn Weal, Cecile Blackman, Sharon (Jack) Procyk, Victoria (Juergen) Schmidt, and Barbara Blackman, and 3 brothers Frank Blackman, Brian Blackman and Charles Blackman. In addition she is survived by 7 sisters in law Anne Reimer, Diane Reimer, Linda (Sonny) Sherman, Jessie (Paul) Unger, Sharon Reimer, Wilma (Allan) Ross, and Joanne Reimer, and 2 brothers in law Stan Orchyk and Gordon Ferguson. She is also survived by 55 nieces and nephews and their families.
She is predeceased by her parents Francis and Mary Ann Blackman,her son Francis Boyd McFeeters, brothers In law Cameron Hinds, Herbert Weal, Richard Cardinal, Ernie Reimer, Levi Reimer, Alvin Reimer, Abe Reimer, and sisters in law Marge Orchyk, Doreen Ferguson, and Julie Reimer. and nephew Bradley Minoose.
The funeral service honoring her life and celebrating her entrance into her heavenly home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, will take place on Tuesday, July 30 at 11:00 am at Hope City Church, 2225-66 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta.
