Mark Woodcock left us on Monday, July 8, 2019 to go rest in the arms of Jesus at the age of 40 years.
He was born September 29, 1978 in Peterborough, Ontario and grew up both in Ontario and Alberta. Mark loved family and his children: Miss Hanna, Tyler and Stevie. Hanna travelled so many miles with her Dad and the Schwinn bicycle. He loved her beyond words, to the best he could. She is and was forever his Hanna Bear. Oh, how he loved her. Mark also loved animals, if there was a dog he would follow it home to its dog house or he would bring it home even when he wasn’t supposed to.
Mark was an entrepreneur, he collected scrap metal, animals, stuff – if you needed something he could acquire it for you. He loved to draw on paper, himself, Jason’s walls, vehicles – everything was his canvas. The drawings would often include “support your local 81” or flames.
Mark was also a good fisherman. He, unlike his siblings, would catch the fish and actually bring them home. The only requirement was you had to eat them, even if they were suckers, rock bass, or whatever.
Mark worked as a maintenance man in Rocky Mountain House. He fixed, repaired, maintained, painted, replaced flooring, cut grass, and improved the properties. Mark had his own business building dog houses, not just little ones but ones that were heated, insulated, and some even had separate rooms. Mark was talented, unique, and loved beyond words.
Mark wanted nothing more than to love and be loved. Mark loved the Lord, and again what a unique relationship. Mark had such a huge heart that held so many rooms for so many people. The oldest rooms were held by his Momma Dearest and his lifetime best friend, Jason. How unique again that the man with the huge heart left us all when his physical heart became enlarged and the walls thinned and he had his second and final heart attack.
Mark has left behind to mourn and lovingly remember him are his parents, Gordon and Patricia; daughters, Hanna and Stevie (deceased); brothers, Darcy (Angela) of Edmonton, AB and Jason (Sandie) of Innisfail, AB; sisters, Tammy of Highland Grove, ON and Amanda of Calgary, AB; nieces and nephews, Jasandra, Abigail “Babs”, Alexander “Alexander Bones”, Julyssa, Sarah, Garrick, Brietta, Nate, and Terrel; and enough aunts and uncles to fill pages.
