Obituary of Marion McGill Hunter
Hunter, Marion McGill nee:Dick – Passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the Georgetown Hospital. Marion, in her 98th year, beloved wife of the late John Henry Hunter. Loving mother of Nancy (the late Jim Bright), Ellen (Ron McGowan) and Stephen (Linda) Hunter. Cherished grandmother of Teresa (Aaron Kaddie), Brian (Lynn) Ward, Glenn (Erika) McGowan, Wendy Swartz, Jodie McGowan (Tyler Pierce), Nadia Cowtan, Kezia Cowtan, and Karen (Glen) Snethan. Marion will be lovingly remembered by her 17 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren, and by her sister in law Isobel Dick. Predeceased by daughter Catherine and her husband Doug Ward, and by her brother Clayton Dick. Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. In memory, contributions to the Trans Canada Trail or to the St. John’s United Church (Glen Williams or Georgetown) are greatly appreciated.
