It is with great sadness that the family of Marilyn Meyerink announces her passing on July 2, 2019, surrounded by her family.
Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 38 years, Bruce, her daughters, Stacy (David Ready), Stephanie (Hamid Izadi), and granddaughter Amelia. Marilyn will also be dearly missed by her mother, Marlene Schmidt, siblings Stanley (Danielle) Schmidt, Lynda (Len) Murphy, and Steven Schmidt, nephew Lucas Schmidt, niece Emma Schmidt, mother-in-law Willemina Meyerink, and brothers-in-law Gerry (Darlene) Meyerink, Harry Meyerink, and Wally Meyerink.
She was predeceased by her father Ralph Schmidt, grandparents Milton and Fern Becker, and Herb and Isabelle Schmidt, and nephews Earle and Darryl Meyerink.
Marilyn loved gardening, volleyball, swimming, golf, camping, spending time with family and friends, and riding on the motorcycle. She was known to many for her years working at Zellers, and for her work at various schools in the community including Holy Family School .
A celebration of life will be held on July 27 from 1-4pm at the Hanover Knights of Columbus.
Memorial donations in memory of Marilyn can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Hanover Hospital Foundation.
