Margaret Ann Arsenault
1955-2019
Arsenault, Margaret Ann, Wentworth. It is with great sadness
that we announce that Margaret Ann Arsenault passed away peacefully at
the age of 64 on Wednesday July 10, 2019, at Colchester East Hants
Health Centre in Truro, Nova Scotia after a 6-month battle with
cancer. Margaret was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario to the late
Michael and Lily (Mitchell) MacNeil. She had spent her whole life
living in Toronto where she worked and raised two boys on her own.
Always physically active, she enjoyed nature walks, camping, the beach
and bike rides in all seasons. Fiercely independent, it was only in
the last year of her life that she moved Wentworth, Nova Scotia. It
was here that her sister Joanne (younger twin, as she would say) and
family so selflessly and lovingly welcomed her into their home and
provided all the care possible in her battle with leukemia. Fighting
to the very end, she was still able tell everyone how happy and proud
her grandson Liam made her. She would also make the many of her nurses
laugh with her Chad stories. She will be missed by colleagues at
Freedom Mobile in Toronto, her family in Squamish, B.C., her family in
Innisfil and Mississauga Ontario and her family and extended family in
Nova Scotia. She will be remembered for her great enthusiasm and
strong commitment to her family and friends.
Margaret is survived by her sons Chris (Taryn) and Chad
(Andrea), her sisters Deborah (Gary) and Joanne (Stephen) her grandson
Liam and her niece and nephews Sarah, Justin, Ryan and
Benjamin.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall~Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. No visitation or funeral service
by family request. In lieu of flowers, Margaret’s family
asks that donations be made to the Colchester East Hants Health Centre
