Marga passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning June 25, 2019, at the Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital in Ottawa at age 90. Loving wife of the late Dominikas (Nick/Adam) of Lithuania (1994). She will be dearly missed by her 4 daughters Janina (Bill Fairbairn), Audrey, Donna (John Ofner) and Teresa (Bruno Loranger) and grandsons Joe, Nick and Dominik. Also survived by her half-sister Petra Siebert (Bernd) in Germany, cousin Kathi McGuirl (Ted), their 2 children Kathleen and Patricia, and goddaughter, Melissa Daveikis. Marga is predeceased by her twin sister Rita in Germany. Marga was born in Berlin, Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1954, where she met Dominikas and married in Sudbury. Marga’s life revolved around her family. She enjoyed nature, reading, cooking and writing letters to family and friends. Marga appreciated the fine arts and loved a good party.
Special thanks to the Élisabeth Bruyère staff and volunteers for their compassion and care. Visitation at Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on July 8, 2019, at 10 a.m. followed by a service at 11:30 a.m. in the R.J. Barnard Chapel.
