1923-2019
Lulu Naomi Bennett – 95, of Greenwich, Kings
County, formerly of Steam Mill, Kings County, passed away on Tuesday,
July 23, 2019 in Shannex – Blomidon Court, Greenwich. Born
in Steam Mill, she was a daughter of the late Hughie and Estella
(Zwicker) Coleman. Lulu enjoyed crafts, baking, playing the guitar and
singing. She was also an avid CB’er. Her flower gardens were
her pride and joy. She is survived by a daughter, Irene Clark, London,
ON; step-daughter, Peggy van Hattem, Kentville; sister, Olive Reeves,
BC; brothers, Archnell, Steam Mill; Gail, Steam Mill; a
daughter-in-law, Marilyn Coleman, New Minas; many grandchildren, great
grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, the legacies who blessed
her life; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her
husband, Earl; sons, Kenneth, Alex and David; sisters, Belle Ward and
Helen Lake; brothers, Fulton, Wade, Chester, Bernard and Kenneth.
There will be no visitation, by request.
The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 1:00
p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019 in the White Family Funeral Home,
Kentville, Reverend Sarah Stevens officiating. Burial will take place
in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s
choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
