Obituary of Lewis Everett Jess
Lewis “Bud” Everett Jess, 82. Born in Halls Harbour, he was the son of Viola and Everett Jess.
Bud left Halls Harbour at 18, to find work in Toronto. He returned home in 1980 and finding the love of his life, he remarried in 1987, to Kathleen Smith. They built their home in Halls Harbour where “Kay” resides still.
He will be remembered for his love of country music, gathering with friends and family, playing guitar and singing until the wee hours. A man of many skills and much knowledge.
His music, his stories and wisdom will be carried on through his wife, “Kay” of 32 years, his children Kathy, Donny, Robin and Tim; his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.
Special thanks to Kentville MH nurses and doctors and paramedics that went above and beyond at this difficult time.
As per Bud’s request, there will be no service. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
