The family of Leona Mary Alexander sadly announce her death which occurred on July 28, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Flat Bay, NL, on March 24, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Legge) Young. She was the wife of the late Donald Alexander.
She is survived by her daughters; Sherri Alexander (Doug) of British Columbia and Nancy Alexander-Sawers (Edward) of St. John’s, NL, her brothers; Robert, Alvin and Adam (Carolyn Foote), her sisters; Ann Jesso (Thaddeus), Patricia Bennett and Suzanne Parisien (Daniel), her grandchildren; Dawn Alexander, Edward Scott, Leigh-Ann Alexander and Angela Alexander along with her 29 nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by her brothers Gary and Robert Young.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424), from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at which time the Funeral Liturgy will held celebrated from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Remembrances made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
