The death of Kenneth Comeau of Fredericton occurred on July
20, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Doaktown, January 17, 1935, he was a son of the late
Joe and Melvina (Thibodeau) Comeau. Besides his parents, Kenny was
predeceased by one brother Frank; sisters Rita and
Martha.
He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years Eva (Ward); son
Dick (Sue); grandson David (Lisa); granddaughter Carianne; great
grandchildren Olivia and Mason, all from Vancouver; brother Charlie
(Carole); sisters-in-law Gail and Debbie; several nephews and
nieces.
Kenny worked tirelessly at all of his occupations, served in
the Canadian Armed Forces, and was a life member of the Royal Canadian
Legion. Kenny worked for many years at Sears. After retirement, he
went on to work at Avis/Budget which he really loved, shuttling cars
throughout the Maritimes and Maine.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday July 24 from 4-7pm at
St. Mary’s Anglican Church on McEvoy Street in Fredericton.
The funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Anglican
Church on Thursday, July 25 at 10 am, followed by a funeral procession
to the Clay Hill Cemetery in Doaktown. A lunch will be served at the
McNamee Rec Centre following the committal.
No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the St.
Mary’s Anglican Church or the Anglican Parish of Ludlow and
Blissfield.
