Kenneth A. Colburne
1924-2019
Kenneth A. Colburne, at the grand age
of 94, of the Veterans’ Health Centre and formerly of Gorge
Road, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, July 19,
2019.
Born in Sunny Brae, he was the son of
the late Henry and Maude (MacDonald) Colburne.
Ken retired from CNR in 1985 and was a
member of Moncton Legion Branch No. 6.
Ken will be sadly missed his
daughters, Beverly Colburne and Sharon Colburne, both of Moncton; as
well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was
the last surviving member of his immediate family.
In addition to his parents, he was
predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Farris) (2003) and by three brothers
and three sisters.
Sincere thanks to all the staff in all
departments at The Moncton Veterans Health Centre for the care and
love shown to Kenneth. Special thanks to Gaetan, Veronique, and Bob
for bringing joy, laughter and adventure to Dad’s
life.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home,
1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00
and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Ken’s
life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday,
July 24, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Paul Steeves leading the
service. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the
service. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial
Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a
memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Online

Dad it’s been a great
journey and its now time to rest. We will miss you!
