Kathryn
“Kay” Horner, 88, of McNair Manor, and formerly of Archibald
Street, Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday,
June 30, 2019.
Born in
Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Mary
Horner.
Kay worked
with the CNR in a secretarial support role and upon her retirement,
worked for many years as the Church Administrator at First Baptist
Moncton. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church Moncton,
where she was involved in various roles, such as Sunday School
Teacher, choir member, Young Peoples Group member and Zella Clarke
Missionary Group.
She enjoyed
gardening, shopping and going for drives. She loved music and playing
the piano and she loved her
cats.
Kay will be
sadly missed by many friends, as well as her church family at First
Baptist Moncton.
A special
thanks to the Staff of McNair Manor for the excellent care given to
Kay during her time there.
A Service to
celebrate and honour Kay’s life will be held from Fergusons
Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on
Thursday, July 4, 2019 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Sandy Sutherland
officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following
the service. Interment will be in Elmwood
Cemetery.
