Life Legacy
PREST, Joseph ‘Joe’ – Passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side at St. Catharines General Hospital on Saturday July 13, 2019 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of 58 years to Philomena Prest. Dearly loved father of Michael, Christopher and Deborah. Dear brother-in-law of Beatrice (the late Domenic) Cartolano, Lydia (the late Patrick) DiCiocco and Donna (the late Tony) DiVito. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Joe owned and operated J. Prest Repair Centre on Bridge St. for many years before becoming a teacher with the Niagara South Board of Education, retiring in 1999. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Vigil prayers will be celebrated at 3 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 am at St. Thomas More Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Joe, donations to St. Thomas More Church or to The Baycrest Foundation in support of geriatric research, 3560 Bathurst St. Toronto, Ontario M6A-2E1 (cheques or online donations can be made at donations @baycrest.org) would be appreciated by his family.
