It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of husband, father and jeddo, Joe Awad 79 of Dartmouth. He is survived by his wife P-J (Bembridge) and his son Challitta (Lisa Conrad) and his only grandchild Brianna who was the light of his life.
Born in Hasroun, Lebanon the son of the late Challitta Awad and Linda (Khoury). Joe is the last surviving member of his siblings Georgette, Antoin, Antoinette, George, Michel and John. Joe worked many years in Lebanon and immigrated to Canada in 1973.
Joe had his own construction company and employed many people over the years and has built and renovated several buildings around the HRM. Some of his favourite activities were spending time with his granddaughter, playing cards, having a cup of coffee at Tim’s with friends and spending time in his garden.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Diabetes Canada
Funeral service will be held Friday Aug 2 10:00 am St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 10 Maple Street Dartmouth
