John William McKeen 19502019

John William McKeen passed away peacefully surrounded by his
loving family on July 4th, 2019 at the Dr.
Everett Chalmers Hospital. Son of the late Bennett and
Gertrude (Yerxa) McKeen, John was born on April
6th, 1950 in Lower Queensbury.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 46 years Donna; his
children Troy (Alicia), Kevin (Deborah), Shawn(Amanda) and
Vanessa(Kyle); his grandchildren, Morgan, Myles(Kaitlyn), Chase, Luc,
Maverick, Makenna and Cheyenne; his brother George (Lynn); sister Una
Cairns, several brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews and
long-time friend Roy Kelly. Predeceased by his parents,
father-in-law Arnold King, brothers-in-law Doug Cairns and Paul
King.
John was very proud of his family, he worked at DOT for 24
years, he was a hard worker, doing his firewood, going for drives,
tipping and coffee shop time with the group. He instilled
those values in his children and grand children.
To honour John’s life, visitation will be held from
the Second Kingsclear Baptist Church on Tuesday July
9th, 2019 from 10 am to 12 pm followed by a
funeral service at 1 pm with Rev Peter Valji officiating. from
interment to follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of
the donor’s choice.
