LYNES, John Howard – Passed away peacefully at Sakura House in Woodstock surrounded by the love of his family. John was in his 88th year. Loving husband of Barbara Lynes (nee Knill) for over 64 years. Cherished father of John (Roxanne) Lynes, Matthew (Marlene) Lynes and Katherine (Jerry) Trewartha. Proud Grandfather to Samantha (Justin) Vanderwoude, Brad (Paige Cameron) Lynes, Rob (Angela) Trewartha, Chelsea (Garrit) Post, Tyler (Amy Schut) Lynes and Great Grandfather to 6. John also leaves behind his sister-in-law Nancy Bartram, niece Susan (Randy) Ladoucer and nephew Jeff (Lori) Bartram. John loved having his family around and will be missed by all of us. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions to Sakura House or the Woodstock Hospital would be appreciated and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004).
