Joanne J Carson 19402019

Joanne J. Carson
1940-2019
It is with profound sadness
and heavy hearts we announce Joanne Carson, wife of Boyd Carson,
passed away peacefully at The Moncton City Hospital on Tuesday, July
30, 2019, surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous and
valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in London, Ontario on
February 18, 1940, Joanne was the daughter of the late Angelo and Mary
Adili. Joanne has gone on to receive her Heavenly Reward for an
amazing and dedicated life while on this earth and was very much loved
and appreciated by absolutely everyone whoever made her acquaintance.
She had a very special and unique “God given
personality”.
Joanne was educated in London,
Ontario and was employed as Executive Assistant to Regional Manager of
Stores Department for Canadian National Railways until her marriage to
Boyd on July 30, 1966. She then moved to Moncton and was employed as
Executive Secretary to Regional Manager of Chrysler Canada for
Maritime District until their children were born, when she resigned
her position to devote her full time attention to raising Stephen and
Lori and being the dedicated and much appreciated wife of
Boyd.
Following in her
mother’s footsteps, Joanne very much enjoyed planting as
well as maintaining her flower gardens at home, as well as other
family locations. Another of Joanne’s hobbies was being a
member of the Ladies Bowling League for more than 40 years and has a
box of trophies indicating success she and her team achieved. During
those 40 plus years, Joanne never failed to pick up her friend, Betty
LeBlanc, drive to bowling and take her back home to Dieppe each week.
Another indication she was a devoted and selfless friend to all who
knew her. Regardless of how ill she was feeling, an instant and loving
smile always appeared on her face whenever she saw one of the
grandchildren enter the room. Each one of them had a very special
place in her heart.
During their years of marriage, Joanne, Boyd and
children took annual vacations and cruises to many areas from Hawaii
to Europe and of course, she and Boyd always had their Friday night
date at The Keg or some favourite dining location in the Greater
Moncton Area.
Joanne will be deeply missed
by her loving husband of 53 years, Boyd Carson, “part of
God’s plan”, their children, Stephen (Lucie) and Lori
Lynn Carson. Their six cherished grandchildren, Jeffery, Jonathan
(Sarah), Jenna Marie (Ty), Abraham, Samuel, Anthony and Angelo.
Brothers, Albert (Connie), Michael (Pam) and sister, Rosalie of
London, ON; brothers-in-law, Wayne, Gerald (Sandra), Merle (Donna),
Norman (Fran); sisters-in-law, Marilyn Mowat (John) and Trudy; as well
as many cherished nieces and nephews. Joanne was predeceased by
brothers, William (Joy), Peter (Jean), Joseph; father and
mother-in-law, Harold and Annie Carson and brother-in-law,
Ray.
Visitation at Fergusons
Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from
6:30 to 9:00 pm. A Celebration and Remembrance of Joanne’s
life will be held at the Moncton Wesleyan Church Life Centre, 945 St.
George Blvd., on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm, with Pastor
David Way leading the service. Reception to follow in the Church
Atrium. A private interment at a later
date.
