LAPIERRE, Jeannine (née Fournier)
Today we say goodbye to the most wonderful lady we’ve ever known, our mom. She might have been only 4 feet plus but she had the biggest heart, always a kind word for everybody she met. When we were kids we played baseball, football, hockey and in later year’s golf. Mom and dad always participated. They were always young at heart. Mom was a quilter, and we all have one or two that will remind us of her every day. She now leaves us to join her beloved husband Jacques, and her dearly missed grand daughter Julie (Craig). The teasing and joking will continue above guaranteed. Daughter of the late Henri and the late Alma (née Miron) Fournier. Loving mother of Michel Lapierre, Sr. Gisèle Lapierre, Paulette (Edward) Carrière, Gilles Lapierre and Suzanne (Flamur) Canaj. Dear sister of Lucienne Dalcourt (late Lionel), Roland Fournier (Elaine), George Fournier (Louise), Simone Fortin (George Bouthier), Raymond Fournier (Rita), Aurele Fournier (Claire), Doris Fournier (Simone), Clairisse Major (Bob) and Paulette Bertrand. Predeceased by her siblings Yvette Dalcourt (late Rodolphe), Lionel Fournier (late Gertrude) and Marcel Fournier (Cécile). Cherished grandmother of Nathalie, Eric and Annibale, and great grandmother of Alexandre, Sophie and Blake. Jeannine will also be greatly missed by her sister in law, Thérèse Labelle and by her best friend Fern. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A special thank you to the nurses and PSW at HSN 4th floor North Tower and palliative care. Also Dr. Jim McAllister, his wife Carole and the staff for taking good care of mom. The family would also like to thank the staff at the hospice for their care during moms stay. “Rest in peace mom, you have earned it.” The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERTIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570 St-Joseph HANMER on Wednesday, July 17th, 2019 from 2-5 p.m. and from 7-9:30 p.m. A funeral mass to take place on Thursday, July 18th, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Ste-Marguerite d’Youville Church, Val Thérèse. Donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation can be made by cheque or online at www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Jeannine Lapierre 2019..
Death notice for the town of: Hanmer, Province: Ontario
My very heartfelt deepest condolences to Jeanine’s family. I am privileged and honored to have known such a beautiful woman. She came for tea a few times at my parents house. Also after my Dad passed away she came over several times so proud to show Mom and I the beautiful quilt she was making. I never did get to see the finished work, but I am very sure it was grand. In my heart I’m giving her a huge hug. I will never forget this precious jewel. God sends certain people into our lives for a reason. May God bless you, and keep you in the palm of His hands.
Love and prayers,
Jo-Anne Train ne Lafontaine
