Jean Presley (née McNairn) was born April 18, 1916 and died at Wellington House Long Term Care Home in Prescott on Saturday, July 13, 2019. She was 103. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Barkley (Donald) of Johnstown, her granddaughter Angela Barkley (Ron Ainger) of Barrhaven, her grandson Jason Barkley (Falyn Day) of Prescott, her great-grandsons Jonathan Berry (Amanda) of Barrhaven, Hunter Barkley of Prescott, Brian Ainger (Danica) of Munster and Nicholas Ainger of Barrhaven and her great, great-grandchildren Kylo, Emily and Lily Ainger of Munster as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Leslie Presley (1975), her parents John and Annie McNairn and by all her sisters and brothers, Marjorie Heagle (Floyd), Mac McNairn (Helen), Agnes Marcellus (George), Beth Gow (Mahlon), Isobel Gow (Bill) and Ted McNairn (Lily). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
Friends may call at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Cardinal, on Tuesday, July 16th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. John’s United Church, Cardinal, on Wednesday, July 17th at 2 p.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
