Passed away surrounded by love at the Norfolk General Hospital,
after a valiant, hard fought battle with cancer, on Wednesday, July
3 rd , 2019 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Pam for 39 years.
Much loved dad and best friend of Jack Jr. (Madison) and proud
dad of Jillian (Matt). Proud papa of Connor and grand dog Colby.
Devoted son of Mary Ellen and the late Jack Wratten. Dear
brother of Mary Jane Wratten (Ed) and Wendy (Ken) Hill. Dearly
missed son-in-law of Lionel and Christina Newsome and brother-
in-law of Scott (Lori) Newsome and Paige (Lui) Imola. He will
also be fondly remembered as cherished Uncle Jack to his many
nieces and nephews. Jack chose to “live to live, not live to die”
and in doing so lived his life to the fullest with the help of his
family and friends. Jack was greatly admired and respected, not
only by his family and friends, but also by his many work
colleagues. He loved to golf, enjoyed fishing, boating, travelling,
ATV trips and winning at corn hole and lawn darts. The family
would like to extend a special thank you to the medical community
in Norfolk County for all the care and support they have provided
to Jack as a new resident of Port Dover. Cremation has taken
place. The family will receive friends at the TOLL FUNERAL
HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Monday, July 8 th ,
2019 from 5-8 p.m. and will continue on Tuesday, July 9 th , 2019
from 12 p.m. until the time of the Celebration of Jack’s Life at 1
p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A private family interment will
take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Jack can be
made to the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation; Year of the
CAT 2.0 Program.
