Obituary of Irene Grace Wilson
WILSON- Irene Grace (née Robinson) of Port Colborne, passed away peacefully at the Port Colborne General Hospital, on June 30, 2019 at the age of 92 years. Predeceased by her loving husband of 72 years Arthur. Loving mother to the late Evan Wilson (Lynne) of Prince George B.C., the late Carol Crang (Larry) of Gravenhurst, the late Dean (Judy) Wilson and Marty Wilson both of Port Colborne. Cherished Grandmother to 15 Grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Dear sister of Verna Roy, Wilfred (June), Bruce and George Robinson. Lovingly remembered by brother in law Robert Wilson (Mary) and sisters in law Iva Elliot, Lillian Emmerson (Bruce), Claire Wilson and Dorothy Wilson. Predeceased by an infant daughter Leslie, her parents Alex and Edna Robinson, her siblings Bill, Oscar and Donald Robinson. Irene was a long-time member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Irene worked at Bert Johns’ Shoe Store and could often be seen decorating the front windows with her sister Verna. Irene was devoted to her family and will be fondly remembered for her warm hugs and the tight squeeze of a bejewelled hand. Cremation has taken place. A private family funeral service will be held with interment at Oakwood Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne.
