The passing of Ina Lillian MacLaggan of Stanley, NB formerly of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, wife of the late MacDonald MacLaggan, occurred on Monday July 15, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 19, 1924 in Taymouth, NB, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Levinia (Dodds) Stewart.

Affectionately remembered as “Grammy Mac” and “Mama Ina” by her loved ones.

Ina is survived by her daughter, Shirley Hay (Garnet) of Williamsburg, NB; grandchildren, Darlene Hawkes (Steven) of Florida and Velvet Humble (Robert) of Florida; great-grandchildren, Johnathan (late Amanda), James, Jacob and Matthew Humble, Michael and Brittany Hawkes; great-great-grandchildren, Ethan, Victoria and Tristan Humble; sister, Faye Stewart; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Ina was predeceased by her sisters, Vera MacBean and Jean (Allan) Dougherty; brothers, William (Norma) and Andrew Stewart; brother-in-law, Basil Stewart.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive from 12-2 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 2 pm with Pastor Gordon Mowry officiating. Interment will take place in Nashwaak Bridge Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
