Obituary of Genevieve Teresa Mayell
MAYELL, Genevieve Teresa (Sitoski)
April 23rd, 1930 – June 29th, 2019
It saddens us to announce the passing of our loving and devoted mother Genevieve on Saturday June 29th in her 90th year surrounded by her family. A very caring mother to her sons John (Heather), Dave (Dalyce), Paul (Nancee), and daughter Susan (John). Cherished by her grandchildren Stephanie, Sarah, Angela, Christopher, Jocelyn, Brian and Mitch and great grandchildren Claire, Evelyn, Thomas, Emma, Norah and Nathan.
Predeceased by her brothers Edward, Steven, John, Joseph and sister Rose and also her daughter Holly and grandson Stuart. Genevieve always exhibited a true zest for life and her smile would light up the room. The proud daughter of Polish immigrates Joseph and Maryanna Sitoski and will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. She married John (Jack) Mayell in 1947 after he returned from the war and together had five children. She resided in the Kingston area all her life and spent most of her summers at her cottage on Grippen Lake where she enjoyed gardening and socializing. She traveled to parts of the world and wintered in Florida with her long time partner Andre Roy. All and all, she was a very special person.
