Genevieve Mary Power (nee Dunphy): August 26, 1947 – July 4, 2019
In the early morning hours of Thursday, July 4, Genny Power of Holyrood passed peacefully away at home surrounded by her devoted and loving family. She is predeceased by her children Brian and Lori Corbett, her parents Jane and Alphonsus Dunphy, her brother Brian Dunphy and her husband Moses Power. She will be dearly missed by her children: Jean Corbett and husband Patrick O’Leary and their children Janie (Ryan Kirk), Cassie (Joel Whelan) and Paddy; Rose Corbett and husband Jerry Barron and their daughter Maggie; Danny Corbett and his children Conor, Meghan, Mykah and Malory; John Corbett and his wife Jackie and their children, Jessica (Chad Youden), Juliane (Neil Penney) and Joshua; Jim Corbett and his wife Sandra and their children Phillip, Olivia and Mark. Also left with many cherished memories are her sisters and brothers: Barbara Farrell, Alphonsus Dunphy Jr., Peggy Dunphy (Victor Porter), Kevin Dunphy, Jim Dunphy (Vera) and Brenda Dunphy; her special niece, Shirley Dunphy (John Wall); her nieces, nephews and extended family; and her caring friend Karen Roberts. Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation will take place on Friday & Saturday from 2 pm – 4 pm & 7 pm – 9 pm. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 2:30 pm form Holy Cross Church, Holyrood. Cremation to follow with Inurnment at a later date.
