1922-2019
The passing of Evelyn Charity Moore occurred on June 29, 2019
at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born on October 21, 1922
in Rusagonis and was the daughter of the late Percy and Gretta
(Phillips) Bunker.
She is survived by her two sons, David William Moore (Janet)
and Brian Douglas Moore (Susan) of Saint John, NB; granddaughter,
Christa Anne Moore; grandson, Ryan David Moore; sister, Sandra Wood
(Lebaron); sister-in-law, Isabel Bunker; as well as several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her
husband, Bill Moore; three brothers, Percy, Arthur and Carl
Bunker.
Evelyn lived for several years in Moncton, where she worked
for the Federal Government in the department of national defence. They
lived in several Air Force stations until her husband passed away and
then she and her two boys moved to Fredericton, where she worked for
the motor vehicle branch until she retired in 1987.
Evelyn loved to travel, went on many bus tours, and also
enjoyed skiing and sailing with her family. She was a faithful member
of Grace Memorial Church, where she served on several boards. Also,
she was a member of Golden Years and Grace Mothers Mission Church
until it folded.
Visitation will be at McAdam’s Funeral Home on
Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 1 – 4 pm. A funeral service will be held
at Grace Memorial Baptist Church on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 2 pm with
Rev. Peter Lohnes officiating. Interment will be held in the
Fredericton Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may
be made to Grace Memorial Baptist Church or a charity of the
donor’s choice.
