Elizabeth Louise “Betty” MacDonald
1920-2019
It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Elizabeth Louise “Betty”
MacDonald, age 99, of Sackville. Betty passed
away July 10, 2019 at the Westford Nursing Home.
Born in Inverness County, Cape Breton,
NS, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah (Beattie)
Dickson.
Betty was a member of the Sackville
Senior Citizen’s. She took a great interest in sports, and
was an avid Dart player. She was a member of the Springhill
St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church.
She is dearly missed by son Robert
(Corrine), Calgary, AB; 7 grandchildren and 5 great
grandchildren.
She was predeceased by son Charles in
1991; husband Edward in 1958; sisters Sarah Thorpe and Jean Walker;
brother Charles Dickson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St.,
Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where an Afternoon of Remembrance will be
held on Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm. Her ashes will
be buried beside her husband in the North Street Roman Catholic
Cemetery, Springhill, NS at a later date.
