It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother.
Predeceased by her loving husband Charlie (Chuck), parents Gerald and Annie Raymond, brothers Leo and Gerry, sister Sarah (Rowe), and granddaughter Hollie-Ann Hartery.
Leaving to mourn Sons Tom (Goldie), Gary, Tony (Michelle), Charlie (Arlene), and daughters Mechille and Wendy (Warick),16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, sisters Rita (Harry) Murphy, Kathy Wiazek and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A special thanks is extended to longtime friends Ray and Patsy Butler, Jo Power and neighbourhood friends who supported her in prayer and acts of kindness.
Betty will be fondly remembered as a woman of faith, a prayer warrior who brought all worries and concerns to God above trusting he would meet her and other people’s needs.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road on Saturday from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place from St. Teresa’s Church on Monday, July 22 at 9:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Betty’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
He knew that you were suffering. He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids and said, “Peace be thine”. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
