Elizabeth Anne Barnaby – 74, Truro, passed
away peacefully on Tuesday morning, July 30, 2019, at The Mira Long
Term Care Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late
Alfred Sr. and Helen (Hanes) Shaw.
Anne worked for many years as a dispatcher with various taxi
companies. She loved her family and especially adored her
grandchildren.
Anne is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Fred) Pettis,
Salmon River; son, Arthur Shaw, Truro; grandchildren, Lacey Lemmons
(Dylan), Jesse Cain, Elizabeth Shaw, Rebecca Pettis (Ryan), Noah
Pettis; great grandson, Bentley Cain; sisters, Shirley (Earl) Isenor,
Truro; Pauline Shaw, Truro; Mary (Dennis) Fraser, Truro; brothers,
Harry (Evelyn) Shaw, Truro; Alfred Shaw, Truro; several nieces and
nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Brenton Henry Barnaby; brothers, William (Evelyn) Shaw, Richard
(Emily) Shaw.
Private family interment will be held in Robie Street
Cemetery, 125 Robie Street, Truro, at a later date. If so desired,
donations in Anne’s memory to IWK Health Centre Foundation
are welcomed.
