Clarke – Edward LeRoy Clarke, April 10, 1945 – June 29, 2019. Ed passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg after a short battle with cancer.
Ed was born in Birtle, Manitoba and grew up in the surrounding area. He was the only son of George and Verna Clarke, predeceased by his parents and his nephew Shawn White. Ed is survived by his sisters Gayle, Marlene and Carol, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Ed worked for INCO in Thompson for 31 years where he loved his work, the life and the people, especially hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He retired to Winnipeg in 2014 and made many new friends.
Ed loved his family. He never married and every generation of nephews and nieces meant the world to him and they loved him deeply in return.
The funeral will be held on Saturday July 6th at 1:00pm at Chumah Hall, Hamiota United Church, Hamiota. Interment will take place at Foxwarren Cemetery.
