Edward’s Obituary
NICKERSON, Edward Arthur – 80, of Shelburne, passed away at the Fisherman’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia on July 17th, 2019. Born in Shelburne he was a son of the late Herman and Hilda (Foster) Nickerson. Ed worked many jobs throughout his working life including silver culture and construction in and around Nova Scotia. Ed loved to hunt, fish and trap. He loved to spend time with his family , clamming, camping and attending the Exhibitions. He enjoyed training his many teams of Oxen and participating in the Ox Hauls. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Muriel, son Phillip Nickerson and grandson Charles. Edward is survived by daughters, Phyllis (Skip), Pat (Mark), Elvie (Wade); sons, Everette, Chris (Doreen) and Dale; 7 grandchildren, Koren, Candice, Kyle, Derrick, Matthew, Bailey and Dylan; 5 great-grandchildren, Carson, Neveah, Ariana, Hannah and Lincoln; several brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium Ltd. No visitation or service by request.
