Sumner, Edith Margaret (nee Clark) – Passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Rideaucrest Home, Kingston in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Sumner and predeceased by the father of her children, Rev. Bob Bater. Edith is survived by her loving children Clark Perry-Bater (Louise), Craig Bater (Annette), Barbara Bater (friend Steven) and Raven Sinclair. Sadly missed by her 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren (soon to be 7). Predeceased by her brothers Jack Clark and Ed Clark. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Edith was a proud Saskatchewanian, born in Melfort to Jessie and Joe Clark, and raised in Tisdale. The family wishes to thank the staff of Rideaucrest Home and her friends and caregivers Mary, Bonnie and Lezley for all of their wonderful care, kindness and companionship during the last years of Edith’s life. The family will receive friends at Chalmer’s United Church, 212 Barrie St. Kingston on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 1- 2 pm. A Service celebrating Edith’s Life will commence at 2 p.m. and a reception will follow.
