It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Douglas Wayne Joseph Conway which occurred on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1966, in Saint John, he is the son of L. Douglas and Cora (Burger) Conway. Doug worked as an LPN at the V.A. Snow Center and at the Saint John Regional Hospital. His most meaningful job was caring for Dr. Shawn Jennings. Doug enjoyed spending summers at the family camp, boating, atving and travelling. He was an avid sports fan, especially hockey and baseball. He loved his dogs most of all.
Doug is survived by his wife and best friend Rose (Johnston) of Saint John; son Jason Mitchell of Saint John; brothers Darren Conway (Christine) of Ottawa, ON, Derrick Conway (Jessica) of Saint John; niece Megan Conway as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Friday, July 26th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Saturday, July 27th at 10 a.m. followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Doug may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
