Doreen Vivian Henry Sjoquist July 19 2019

DOREEN (Skipper) VIVIAN SJOQUIST (Nee Henry)
November 9, 1935 – July 19, 2019
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a truly beautiful, brave and strong woman.
Skipper will be forever remembered by her loving husband of 63 years Carl, children Wanda, Glen and Ron, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren as well as many relatives and friends.
She was born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan and grew up on a ranch in Paradise Valley, AB with her parents Glen and Vesta, sisters Marian and Fay, brothers Don and Blair.
Her life was full as she enjoyed travelling the world especially Palma, Majorca and Yuma, Arizona.
Skipper loved spending time with her family and friends and we have many good memories of the Shuswap in B.C.
She battled cancer bravely for six years. The family would like to thank the Drayton Valley Hospital, Home Care Team and to Drayton Valley Funeral Services.
A Celebration of Skipper’s life will be held at a later date.
If friends so desire, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation Provincial Office, 710-10123-99 St. NW, Edmonton, Alberta T5J 9Z9 or to a charity of one’s choice.
“My family and friends will make my spirit glow and that light will shine forever in the next place I go.”

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Doreen Vivian Henry Sjoquist July 19 2019..
