The family of Diane Nickolizen (Kowalski) sadly announce that she passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer on June 26, 2019 at the age of 69 in Vernon, BC. She is at home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Diane was born, raised and attended school in Dauphin. After graduation, she went to work in Swan River where she met and eventually married the love of her life, Herb Nickolizen. In September 1972 they were overjoyed by the birth of their only child, their daughter Sheryle. Several years later they relocated to Winnipeg where they resided until the summer of 2018 when they to move to Vernon BC to be closer to their daughter and her family.
She was predeceased by her father Frank Kowalski and brother Lawrie Kowalski. Her mother in law Elma Bischler and sister in law Beatrice Ehrstein. Left to cherish Diane’s memory is her husband of 48 years Herb Nickolizen, her Daughter Sheryle Paas (Jason) and her 3 grandsons Donovan, Aidan and Riley. Her mother Minnie Kowalski, brothers Danny (Judy), Leon (Roseann), and Bill, and sister Lynn Peacock. Sisters in law Marjorie Vetrov (Dan) and Judy Bischler. As well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday July 6th at Grace Bible Church, 1910 Mountain Road Dauphin, MB.
