Obituary of David Kirkpatrick Moore
MOORE, David Kirkpatrick – age 81, of Milford, formerly of Shubenacadie passed away peacefully at Elk Court, Brookfield on July 28, 2019. He was a son of the late David and Marion (Fraser) Moore.
David was a hardworking dairy farmer all of his working life. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 111, Shubenacadie. He loved playing cards, dancing and was an avid bowler. He enjoyed camping and playing washer toss with a good bottle of beer in his hand.
David is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Debbie (Michael), Denise; son, Douglas; granddaughter, Josie; extended family members, Karen, Lisa (Scott); sisters, Eleanor Frame and Anna Ruth Moore; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, David was predeceased by sisters, Frances (Lorne) Helperd, Clara (Eddy) Geddes, Margaret (Freddie) Martini, Mary (Bill) Sawdon, Barbara (Robert) Faulkner; brother, Henry (Marie); granddaughter Morgan Jamie-Lee Angevine.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.
A visitation will be held 6-8pm Wednesday, July 31, 2019 with funeral service 2pm, Thursday, August 1, both in Ettinger Funeral Home Chapel, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. Martin Reid officiating. Reception following in the funeral home hospitality area. Burial to follow in Preeper Hill Cemetery.
Donations in memory of David may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
