David Neufeld
David Neufeld went home to be the Lord on Friday July 12, 2019 at the age of 86.
He was born on October 14, 1932 in Paraguay as the second child of Heinrich & Sara Neufeld. He married Greta Kopper on July 9, 1953 and they had five children. In 1969, the family immigrated to Canada. Tragically, Greta lost her battle with cancer in March of 1988. On May 13th, 1989, David married Waldina Harms. David worked at Palliser Furniture until his retirement.
David was baptized upon the confession of his faith in Paraguay in 1966 and was a member of North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church.
David was predeceased by his parents Heinrich & Sara Neufeld, his wife Greta, his son Walter and his brother Heinrich. He is survived by his wife Waldina; four children, Linda, David, Johanna and Herman; eight grandchildren, Bob, Rose, Liza, Tyson, Rainer, Sara, Chantelle (Gabriel) and Alex; six siblings, Hans, Franz, Mary (John), Magdalene (Herman), Martha (Hans) and Kaethe (Peter); sister in law Kaethe, and Waldina’s siblings John and Charlotte (Herbert).
Funeral Service in memory of David will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019 at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road, Winnipeg, with Interment at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
