Obituary of Dave Marshall
Marshall, David Ernest – passed away suddenly at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Monday, July 22, 2019 in his 80th year.
Dave Marshall of Pembroke, loving husband of Marion Marshall (nee Schiemann). Father of Gregory Marshall (Terri Maue), Toronto; Cliff Marshall (Cheri), Kemptville; and predeceased by infant twin daughters Katherine & Kathleen Marshall. Grandfather of Dana & Graeme (Aubrey) and Elizabeth (Jay) & Lily. Great-grandfather of Wendy. Step-grandfather of Shaun (Vicky), Jaclyn (Andrew) and Glenn. Step-great-grandfather of Violet and William. Son of the late Frank and Martha Marshall (nee Crozier). Brother of Vivian (Luenda), late Sybil (late Clarence), Levi (Ruth), Albert (Margaret), Winston (Jenny), Florence Nisbett (Allister), William (Nancy) and Keon (Rob). Brother-in-law of Charlotte Layden (John), Florence Charlebois and Doug Schiemann (Diane). Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dave was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was an annual winner of Communities in Bloom awards.
Respecting Dave’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Zion Lutheran Church Hall, 454 Miller St., Pembroke on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 1-3:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army, Ottawa Heart Institute, Pembroke Regional Hospital or Zion Lutheran Church – stained glass repairs would be appreciated.
