Peacefully on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, Robert ‘Bob’ Darwin Cottingham, of London and formerly of Tilbury, Ontario, in his 96th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 69 years, Dorothy. Much loved father of Robert K. Cottingham (Nancy), Karen Osoka (Gary Boyle), Joan Metcalf (Glenn) and Debra Cottingham. Cherished and loving grandfather of seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Survived by brothers Don Cottingham (Earla) and Ron Cottingham (Ruth). Bob was a veteran of WWII and a 30 year veteran of the O.P.P. Special thanks to the staff at Parkwood Institute and Veterans Affairs Canada for the compassionate care given. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where a funeral service will be conducted immediately thereafter. Private family interment to follow at Dorchester Union Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bob are asked to consider Diabetes Canada or the Alzheimer Society London and Middle.
