Obituary of Charles M. Weaver
Charles M. Weaver
September 10, 1920 to July 12, 2019
Another unsung hero of WWII, (1941 to 1945) has left us.
Born in Woodford, Ontario, to Hollis and Grace Weaver, he was the middle of three sons. Just two months short of his ninety-ninth birthday, Charlie, the loving and beloved husband of Elizabeth Weaver (seventy-three amazing years!) has died.
He was the proud and caring father of Janis Weaver, and Marilyn Craggs (William), and the proud grampa to three much loved grandsons:
Jeremy (Michelle) Connaghan and their daughters, Sarah and Emily
Adam (Tracy) Connaghan and their daughters, Rachel, Claudia and Leah
Scott Remila (Erin Griffith)
Charlie was also delighted to have been adopted by Michelle and Michael Cox, as their Grampa Charlie.
He was an admired “in-law”, friend and neighbour, a fun uncle, and shared his vast life experiences as a mentor, and role model to many.
He was an avid gardener; accomplished woodworker; conservation warrior; life-long nature lover, and generous contributor to the Garden Hill Tractor Club.
Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will follow.
A life celebration gathering is to be announced.
Charlie Weaver was an honourable man, who will be remembered by many.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Charles
