1960-2019
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts to announce the
sudden passing of Cathy Patton-Chisholm, 59, of Kentville, on July 22,
2019 at home with her loving family by her side. Born in Truro, she
was a daughter of Prescott “Sonny” and the late
Eileen (Kane) Patton. She is survived by her husband, Sandy; son,
Andrew (Laura), Kentville; daughter, Leesa (Benjamin) Charpentier,
Thailand; precious granddaughter, Chloe Eileen Charpentier;
father, Sonny (Goldie), Truro, sisters, Susan (Irwin) Stewart, Valley;
Kelly Rushton, Truro Heights; brothers, Ricky, Truro; Edison (Lisa)
North River; mother and father-in-law, Donald and Kathie Chisholm, Old
Barns; brother-in-law, Mike Weinberg, Auburn; many nieces
and nephews. Besides her mother, Cathy was predeceased by
brother-in-law, Wade Rushton and sister-in-law, Connie Weinberg. In
keeping with Cathy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral
service. A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held at 1:00
p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019 in the White Funeral Home,
Kentville, followed by an informal gathering at the Kentville Fire
Hall. The family would like to thank Dr. Merryweather and her staff at
the Valley Regional Hospital for their continuous care and effort over
the past year. Donations in memory may be made to the Victorian Order
of Nurses (VON Annapolis Valley), Kentville Volunteer Fire Department
or the Lodge that Gives, Halifax. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
