Carlos Rego
1964-2019
REGO, Carlos
September 27, 1964 to July 15, 2019
Our family is heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Carlos
Rego, 54, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, after a brief battle with
pancreatic cancer. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by
his wife, Cathrine, and his mother Fatima Medeiros. He was a proud,
loving dad to Amber, Marcus and Megan, and an adoring
“Bapa” to the light of his life, Scarlett. Pre-deceased
by his father, Antonio Rego, Carlos will also be missed by his
step-father, Joe; son-in-law, Kyle; brother, Mani; Cathrine’s
parents, Jan and Moore White; and his three fur-babies, Harley, Gigi
and Benji.
Born in Santa Maria, Azores, Carlos was thrilled to have finally been
taking his dream trip to Portugal this month, an adventure which was
supposed to begin on July 18.
We would like to express our thanks and appreciation to Mike Sheppard
(the other “Freddie”), and to the wonderful oncology team
at Cambridge Memorial.
Memorial visitation will be held at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas
St., Cambridge, on Thursday, July 18, from 7-9 pm. Funeral mass will
take place at St. Patrick’s Parish, 53 Wellington St.,
Cambridge, on Friday, July 19 at 11 am. Private interment will take
place at a later date. Reception to follow at Café Moderno, 383
Elgin St. N. As a tribute to Carlos’s truly unique sense of
style, please wear a baseball cap and sunglasses to the
Café.
In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully invites you to make a
memorial donation to www.brantcountyspca.com or to adopt a rescue pet
in his honour. Carlos would also want us to remind you to take that
dream trip while you can

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Carlos Rego 19642019..
