It is with great sadness the family of Bert Culligan wishes to announce his sudden death in his beloved birthplace of Belledune. Born on September 11th, 1935 in Culligan Siding, N. B., Bert will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia “Pat” (Watkinson), and his sons, Wayne and Larry.
He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel II, and Ethel (Cormier), siblings Vincent, Angela, Emmett, Berniece, Chester, and his identical soulmate twin, Ray. He will be sadly missed by his brother Daniel (Don) and sisters Betty Pilon, Norma Carrier and Ruth Farrell, along with many nieces and nephews of whom he was very fond.
Bert will always be remembered for his biting wit, wonderful sense of humour, colourful vocabulary, fast cars, love of life, and generosity towards others. He loved the company of family and friends.
His funeral will be held in Niagara Falls, ON, his second home for more than 60 years, at a time and date to be announced later.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the Belledune Volunteer Fire Department, Chief Keith Legacy, the local paramedics, and MacMillan’s Funeral Home for their prompt and very professional response to the family’s needs.
