Obituary of Audrey Everton
Audrey Sylvia Everton passed away peacefully at the Hythe Continuing Care Centre on Sunday, July 21, 2019 with her husband of 66 years by her side.
Audrey was born to Olaf & Guro Hanson on September 8, 1932 at Johanna’s Maternity Home in smith, Alberta. She was raised in Valhalla Centre and attended High School in Grande Prairie where she met the love of her life.
Audrey married Bennie Everton on November 8, 1952. She spent her life on the farm northwest of Hythe where she was a devoted wife, mother, member of the Order of the Eastern Star and lifetime member of Valhalla Lutheran Church.
Audrey leaves to mourn her passing her loving husband Bennie; children Rob (Gisela), Linda (Harvey Pearson), Sherry (Bill Nasedkin) and Coleen; grandchildren Ross (Sheri) Pearson, Darren Pearson, Craig (Andrea) Pearson, Kelsey (Andy) Attard, Brent (Jessica) Everton, Darla (Brendon McNeil) Everton, Brian Everton, Evert Nasedkin and Taran Nasedkin; great-grandchildren Samantha & Emily Pearson, Signe & Quinn Pearson, Bode & Jasper Pearson, Erica & James Attard and Arlo Everton; sisters-in-law Betty Wiens and Margaret (Herman) Stamp; and a large extended family.
Audrey was predeceased by her parents Olaf & Guro Hanson; brother Ken Hanson; and in-laws Ross & Retta Everton, Don Everton, Joan (Lawrence) Kirby and George Wiens.
A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held at Valhalla Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ella Loberg officiating. Interment to follow at the Hythe Cemetery.
