Obituary of Allister MacLaren
Allister Samuel MacLaren, 92, of Hazel Glen passed away on July 25th, 2019.
He was the son of the late Thomas and Mysie ( MacMillan) MacLaren.
For many years, he was employed at Trenton Works in addition to working his farm in Hazel Glen.
He is survived by his sister Margaret Chittick, Dartmouth and brother Gordon MacLaren, Hazel Glen. Allister was a very special uncle to his nieces, nephews and great nieces, and to special nephew Gerald Jones, who cared for, and assisted him in daily living tasks. This allowed Al to continue living in his farmhouse until moving to Glen Haven Manor four years ago.
He was predeceased by his sisters Helen Marshall and Ruth MacEwan.
The family wish to thank the staff on Ocean Drive at Glen Haven Manor for the wonderful care they provided to him. Uncle Al’smile and infectious laughter will be truly missed.
Allister is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Saturday, July 27th from 1pm – 2pm. His funeral service will be held at 2o’clock on Saturday from Eagles Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bonnie Langille officiating. Interment is in the Auburn Cemetery.
