It is with deep sadness, we announce the death of Cyril Allan Bruce, follower of Jesus. Beloved husband and high school sweetheart of Beryl Horner. Son of the late Richard Bruce and late Hazel Richardson. Dear brother of Gordon “Gordie” (Joyce), Harold (Mary) and the late Alice Bruce. Loving father to Victoria “Vicky” of Kanata, Susan (Les Clow) of Stittsville, Richard (Edi) of Kanata and Robert (Gina) of Moncton, NB. Brother in law to Faye (Red McTiernan), Joan (late Don Woermke), Marion (late John Musgrove), Betty (William Devlin), Sharon (late Dalton Smith) and Jim Horner (Cathy). Cherished Grandpa to Sasha, Levi, Sophie, Libby, Bruno, Leticia, and Cannon.
Friends may call at the Hayes Funeral Home 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Wednesday, July 17th from 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday, July 18th at Whitewater Wesleyan 42 Cedar Haven Road, Cobden, Ontario from 10 am until service time at 11 am. A reception for family and friends will be held in the church immediately following the funeral. Interment Radford United Cemetery. Donations to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation – Oncology, Villa James Shaw and Harvest House Ministries would be gratefully appreciated. Allan’s family is especially thankful for the excellent care he received during several stays and regular treatments at Pontiac Community Hospital. They are also humbled by the exceptional grace and compassion received from staff at the Chemo Clinic in the Gatineau Hospital this past Thursday and brief stay in Palliative Care back in Shawville.
