Chief Superintendent RCMP (Rtd.) TOEWS, Albert “Al” John October 14th, 1933 – July 2nd, 2019 passed peacefully at home on Tuesday with family close by at age 85. Forever loved by his wife Joan (nee Bates). Beloved father of Kevin (Kim), Michael (Lorrina), and the late Wendy, and late Gary. Father in law to Glenn Dondale. Proud Grandpa to Brendan Toews (Madeline Edmonds), Ryan, Lisa and Jason Dondale. Survived by his brother to Allan (Marie) Predeceased by his sister Elma Doyle (Graeme) and brother Bruno “Bud” (Beverley). He will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Following Al’s wishes cremation has taken place and a service will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation. Tributes, condolences and donations can be made online at www.zohrfuneralhome.com
