Peter Jack Mountain, age 66, of Stratford passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London on July 5, 2019. Born in Stratford, son of the late Jack and Doris (Rose) Mountain.
Peter is survived by his wife Patricia Petrie. Loving father of Tammy Vosper (Perry) and T.J. Mountain (Alyssa). Grandfather of Jayden, Jaymee, Jirnee, Olivia, Eryka, Seth and Chloe. Brother of Cathy Van Gestel (John). Also survived by sister-in-law Sherry Hunter (Harold), brother-in-law Michael Petrie (Marlene) and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by brother Paul Mountain, granddaughter Janaya, brother-in-law Peter Hunter and mother-in-law and father-in-law Violet and Clayton Petrie.
Peter drove for Erb Transport for many years and later with Joe Bell Trucking until his retirement.
A family interment will be held at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. A celebration of Peter’s life will take place at the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans Hall, 151 Lorne Avenue East, Stratford on Saturday, July 13, from 2-4 p.m. with words of remembrance at 230 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to SickKids Foundation or the Stratford Perth Humane Society through the W.G.
